Useful info for your portrait session.

On the day of your shoot you will have the undivided attention of one of our experienced photographers. They are at your disposal for the duration of your session - they will work with you and any ideas you have, throwing in some weird and wonderful suggestions of their own! Your photographer will take a variety of shots, ensuring you have a wide range of options to choose from when you attend your private viewing.

Get The Best

Our job is to "capture" you and your family as you are, to "capture" the essence of how you interact with one another. You can help to do this by bringing along any personal belongings that you feel define you. If you play the guitar, bring the guitar! If you are a football fan, bring your teams' kit as one of the outfits you wear. Anything that makes a statement about you and your family, bring it along no matter how obscure, eccentric or silly you think it is! If you are bringing very young children it may be a good idea to bring some of their toys with you. We have our own toy corner but they will probably react better to their own toys.

If you are bringing a pet, for example a dog, bring along their favourite toy and we find that treats work wonders for getting your animal to relax. (This bribery technique also works with children!)

Our best styling advice is to wear something you feel comfortable in, we want you to be as relaxed as possible! Generally we shoot against a white background so it's best to avoid wearing white.

Wear reasonably plain, colourful clothes that won't date - its best not to wear clothes with big logos or brands on.

Your viewing - What to Expect

At your viewing we will present our selection of the best images from your session, usually between 20-40 images! Your private viewing will usually be 1 week after the photography session. Everyone is welcome to the viewing so feel free to bring grandparents or anyone else who might be interested in having a print produced. We can accommodate up to 10 people in our viewing room.

The copyright of all images either printed or stored on Capture Photography's servers taken by the Company or its representatives shall remain the property of Capture Photography. Copies of images in print or digital are not permitted without written consent from the Company. Any images taken by the Company or its representatives may be used for advertising, promotions, competitions and marketing. The Company will not pass on or sell the Clients images to any third party without the written permission of the Client.
